Project Overview

Concrete Drilling Newcastle

Clean core holes, saw cuts and openings through existing concrete, with reinforcement and buried services scanned and confirmed before the bit touches it.

Drilling into concrete is precision work, whether the hole is for plumbing, electrical conduit or a structural fixing. Our concrete drilling Newcastle team uses professional-grade diamond equipment to deliver clean, accurate holes without cracking, chipping or compromising the surrounding slab.

We work across residential and commercial projects, from small core holes through to larger structural penetrations. Every job starts with establishing slab thickness, reinforcement layout and what services might be running inside, because that is what decides whether the hole can be drilled where you have marked it.

New installations, retrofits or repairs, we show up on time, work cleanly and get the job done without turning your site or your house upside down.

What We Drill

Our Newcastle Concrete Drilling Services

Once concrete is in the ground, anything that has to pass through it or bolt onto it means drilling. We core penetrations for plumbing, stormwater, electrical conduit, downpipes and air conditioning lines, cut openings through walls and slabs, and drill fixings for handrails, balustrades, pool fencing, shade structures, bollards and gates.

The rest of the work is drilling to join old concrete to new. That covers chemical anchor and starter bar holes where a slab or wall is being extended, dowel holes so a fresh pour ties across the joint into what is already there, and saw-cutting for clean edges or extra control joints in a slab that was never given enough of them.

Almost all of it is done wet. Water keeps the diamond bit cool, dramatically extends its life and stops silica dust getting into the air, which matters enormously when we are working inside your house. The trade-off is slurry, so we contain and vacuum it as we go rather than letting it run across your floor or out onto the driveway. Where wet drilling is not practical, we drill dry with extraction at the head.

Working With Us

Why Choose Our Concrete Drilling Crews

The single most important thing in this work is knowing what is inside the slab before you start. Cut through structural reinforcement, a post-tensioning cable or a live conduit and you have turned a half-hour job into a serious problem. We scan before we drill, work off structural drawings where they exist, and adjust the hole position rather than pressing on and hoping. If the position you have marked cannot be drilled safely, you will hear that from us before anything is cut.

Accuracy is the other half. A cored hole is permanent, so the set-out matters: correct position, correct diameter, square to the surface, and a clean edge that does not need patching afterwards. We would rather spend the extra ten minutes marking out with you than drill a hole in approximately the right place.

In practice that looks like contained slurry, covered floors, holes exactly where they were marked, and a straight answer when a penetration needs an engineer rather than a drill. Send through the location, the diameter and depth, what the hole is for and roughly how thick the concrete is, and we can usually price it on the spot.
